Database Administration
If you have landed here and are unsure as to what exactly Database Administration is then lets clear the air with a simple definition from Wikipedia:

"A database administrator (DBA) is a person responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and repair of an organization's database. The role includes the development and design of database strategies, monitoring and improving database performance and capacity, and planning for future expansion requirements. They may also plan, co-ordinate and implement security measures to safeguard the database."

Database Administration is by far one of DCD's core skills.  Our founder's introduction to the IT industry began with the administration of a relational database at one of our nations first institutions of higher education, Tusculum College.

Today, we administer databases by utilizing the following technologies:
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • MySQL
  • Microsoft Office Access
  • Adaptive Server Anywhere (ASA)
  • Visual FoxPro
